The L293D motor driver chip is a two channel H-Bridge motor driver which can control two separate motors. Each half of the driver chip uses two input signals from a PICAXE to control whether the related motor is stopped, or moves backwards or forwards. By pulsing the signals or using PWM the speed of the motors can be controlled.
